[He knew how Kinn enjoyed his coffee, but with Gaura around there was always baked goods too. Tay's ready with a mug to press into his friend's hand as soon as he enters the kitchen.]

We don't have that kind of protection here yet, either. A few guns are basically pea shooters, especially when ammo is scarce.

[Tay sighs, but he hugs Kinn back. This is the lecture he was expecting, but it feels better than he'd been afraid of.]

I know. I know. But we needed the guns. We weren't going to get them without taking a risk. Everything else is healed and my knee will too soon.

I have a couple leads I'm work on now for more ammo, but if you need just a box or two I can get you some. Obviously I've been too distracted with a few other things to follow up on them just yet.

[He wiggles his ears with a snicker.]

I don't know really! I think it might be my friendships? At least the ones I've built with my housemates and with you guys. And.. maybe Wanyin, I don't know.

We're thinking of settling close to the Yokahama district. Port Market, specifically. Vegas is working on taking over the bar you guys cleaned out and I don't think I want home terribly close by, but still around that area.

[Pete and Vegas should have their own space. For reasons. ]

[Tay nods, but still doesn't look certain. He'd like to deny it- and well, he did just deny it- but the truth was, there's definitely a connection there. If he didn't know better, he might even say a crush.

Hearing about the business has him frowning a little too.]

[As he thinks that over, it doesn't have some perks. It'd establish them even more as a presence.]

Just tell him to tread lightly around the Isogo neighborhood. That's where I've established some contacts for us that we haven't ruined yet.

How close is 'around that area'?

[Tay had originally suggested around this area where they were currently living. It would seem that had been vetoed by the others, which was okay but.. it made him feel funny. His arms folds around his middle.]

[He gives Tay a critical look. As much as they were told and taught to let the trauma of their mafia events to roll off them, it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes the trauma lingers. But he doesn't ask Tay about it-another lesson.]

[He feels sick to his stomach and he stares down at a spot on the floor. Kohaku is still so close to the port! What if they hadn't found all of the men? What if there was an alliance with another gang that will seek revenge? What if..

At least he won't be the one living there? No, that doesn't make him feel even slightly better. He'll feel cut off from his family and he's going to worry about them.]

Why not go further out? Somewhere safer? Tokyo is right there across the water. There's transporters there that can easily get to this side of the kingdom.

[ Now he needs to know what the fuck is going on. ]

[Although as soon as that's out of his mouth, he realizes how accurate it is. Khun had been through something scary and had trouble coping. Tay has been trying to cope and maybe it's not working as well as he'd hoped.

So he tries again in a much less defensive tone, even if it's not helpful either.]

[ Kinn listens with a frown. He's... not certain how to handle this. ]

But you're not really that far away, Tay. You have a bike, remember? You don't have to wait for public transportation.

You don't get it. You were on the other side of this place. There wasn't a way to get away from here and who knows when that will happen again.

[He shakes his head and gets up.]

Just.. don't worry about it. I'll deal with it. And no, it... there's something magical about it.
