Well I'm fine. Really. I'm.. you know, doing fine. You and Kinn don't have anything to worry about.

[Did that sound convincing? His ears flatten as he recognizes how bad that just sounded.]

No one is hurt.

Uh-huh. What's wrong with your face that you won't show it, huh?

[Tay sucks in a quick, surprised breath at the way too insightful accusation. For a moment, he can't speak.

There's something that just may have been a tiny sniffle.]

Nothing.

[Pause.]

It's not my face exactly.. I hate this place, Vegas. I hate it so much.

[safesex]

(( Vegas sighed but there was very little impatience or frustration in the sound. He understood Tay's feelings. He hated this place too, but adapt or die. That's what he keeps telling himself. ))

What happened?

[Tay sighs.]

It's the Kizuna magic? It's.. it's started to affect me. You know this stuff is going to happen to you and Pete too, right?

Getting some animal features, huh?

You're going to end up as a cockroach.

Hardly my fault no one can find a way to destroy me once and for all.

[That finally gets a laugh out of Tay. With another sigh, he hesitantly flips on the video. He adjusts the screen so Vegas can see the fuzzy new additions to his head.]

Go on, get it out of your system.

[safesex]

(( Oh, that's not so bad! Vegas does chuckle quietly and shakes his head. ))

You're so fucking paranoid. You look fine, Tay. Just a little more quirky than usual.

[He had really been worried about Vegas' reaction, but the encouragement is a pleasant surprise. With a timid smile, he pulls the camera back further and a tail curls around him so it can be seen too.]

You really think so? It was quite a shock to wake up with them.

[He's going to gloss over the details of how that actually happened.]

(( Vegas has seen enough of the local yokai and other transformed refugees to find it... Well, not normal but commonplace? Commonplace enough that it was terribly startling. At least not to see it. As Tay pointed out, it was probably more shocking to discover your own body changed. ))

When have you known me to lie when it wouldn't get me something?

[Tay snickers and nods.]

Can you play a boy for being suspicious when Vegas Theerapanyakul is being nice? Who knew you were just a big softie under there?

[He bites his lip a moment.]

Do you think Kinn will tease me about it?

I can be very nice, asshole.

(( In truth, Kinn would probably be a little sad. Vegas can only imagine how every little thing reminds him that Porsche isn't there with him. ))

No, I don't think he'll tease you.

[In all honesty, maybe that's what Tay is really so upset about with these changes. It means he's connected to this place and losing his connection with Time. He also doesn't want to disappoint Kinn and for some reason he feels like he is.

He just.. it's very confusing.

For now though, he smiles glad that he's getting this fun banter with Vegas- even if it's weird as hell.]

You know Gaura has feathers and Henry is a fox. Wonder what that will mean for Kinn and Pete!

I guess we'll find out in time.

[He sticks his tongue out at Vegas.]

You have no imagination do you? Pete's so loyal, I bet he'd be some kind of dog. Maybe something cute but fierce?

I have plenty of imagination. Just not for this.

I suppose I shouldn't expect that much from a bug.

[He snickers.]

Anyway, I should go get ready for tonight. Would you please let Kinn and Pete know I'm doing alright?
